Construction
LEEC P33 Precision Incubator has a large capacity 730 litre stainless steel chamber, adjustable stainless steel shelves and 4 toughened glass viewing doors. The outer cabinet is rust-resistant and finished in white polyester powder coat paint with anti-microbial properties. Two 12mm access ports are provided so that cables for shakers and/or monitoring probes can be passed safely into the incubator.
Heating
The heating system consists of low wattage electrical elements which are specially designed and profiled to eliminate hot spots around the chamber. Expanding polyurethane insulation is foamed in-situ to give excellent thermal retention, and it ensures optimum temperature control and stability. The P33 is a heat-only incubator. Operation of the incubator at (or below) room temperature requires a source of chilled water (e.g. a LEEC self contained recirculating cooler unit). All LEEC Precision Incubators (models P2, P3, P33) regardless of their age, can cool when connected to a LEEC Self Contained Recirculating Cooler Unit.
Temperature Control
The P33 gentle fan-assisted air circulation via a full-width duct to ensure optimum temperature stability throughout the chamber. When the incubator door is opened, the fan stops so that any heat is kept to a minimum.
The microprocessor PID temperature controller maintains the set temperature to within 0.1°C. The easy to use temperature controller shows both 'set' and 'measured' values. Indicators show when the heater is active and if an over temperature condition exists.
Over Temperature Protection As Standard
An independent digital over temperature safety cut out system is included as standard. This protects the items being incubated inside the chamber from accidental over temperature situations. The cut out limit can be easily adjusted by the end user.
