Two different types of storage can be proposed concerning corrosives:
The first type, dedicated to slightly corrosive products, are steel safety cabinets with high resistant paint. These cabinets offer additional protection with high density polyethylene or PVC shelves and bottom retention tank.
The second type, dedicated to highest corrosive products (such as nitric, sulfuric, hydrochloric or fluorhydric acids) are cabinets made in cellular PVC or HPL with PVC protection. These materials offer the perfect resistance to corrosives vapours.
A forced ventilation is a prerequisite in order to improve the life cycle and the safety of a steel cabinet. Indeed, despite the fact that the steel is protected by a resistant epoxy paint, nothing can protect against the possibility of corrosion inside a steel safety cabinet. Moreover, to protect the users health, it is highly recommended to install an exhausting system, whatever the material used for the cabinet, in order to avoid any concentration of dangerous vapors inside the cabinet. We invite you to have a look at the different vent solutions proposed (fan, exhausting system, filtration by active coal, etc…) at the end of this catalogue to find the best solution for your needs.
